La Janda’s Seaboard or Trafalgar’s Coast.

La Janda’s Seaboard is made up of three provinces: Barbate, Cónil and Véjer and it is located in the Atlantic coast of Cádiz, between Cádiz’s bay and Algeciras’ Bay, in front of the coast of Morocco, only separated by 37 Kms of seawaters where the famous battle of Trafalgar took place in 1805.

La Janda has a wide natural and cultural offer of a great value where the La Breña´s Nature Reserve (with both sea and land), Barbate´s Marshes and numerous blueprints of earlier civilizations are specially interesting.

The mild climate conditions and the almost virgin landscape of these coasts are on theirselves an unmatched frame to enjoy nature and practice open-air sports and activities. A rich gastronomy with peculiar elements like tuna (captured with elderly techniques) or fresh vegetables offer the traveller endless possibilities to enjoy a variety of both tasteful and healthy meals.

The Association for the Tourist Rural Development of La Janda’s Seaboard concerned with the impulse of a quality tourist product has developed the Premium Tourist Quality Project in La Janda. Its purpose is encouraging tourist businessmen to continue with a quality product in order to achieve sustained tourist development in these towns.

Thanks to this project, the tourist product explained in this website have been created and different commercial boost actions have been promoted as well by various European traders and middlemen in order to attract in low and medium season possible clients interested in the products here offered.

In order to regulate the participation of businessmen in the tourist products a Product Manual has been elaborated, where all participation requirements are established.

The Premium Tourist Quality Project and the Association for the Tourist Rural Development of La Janda’s Seaboard have triggered the birth of this association. The building up of this webpage and the support of the A.T.R.D. technicians have been the stonewall for the development and starting out of the Business Association “Turismo Janda Litoral”.
