In 711 took place the battle of La Janda, in which North African troops under Tarik´s command defeated Don Rodrigo. Onwards and during five centuries and a half, La Janda remained under Muslim domain and gave birth to an splendid Arab-Islamic culture that has still many traces to be seen.

The presences of Fenicians, Greeks and Romans in this land have left many examples of that splendid past on it and its surroundings. In this program, we will be able to roam the most emblematic locations of La Janda: Faro de Trafalgar (Trafalgar´s Lighthouse), Torre de Guzman el Bueno (Guzman el Bueno´s Tower), Santa Lucia y la Muela, salting and conserving factories, etc... We will also visit the most interesting places of our surroundings, Cádiz, Baelo Claudia or Santi Petri´s Castle Island and some others.
